Jake

Founder | Head Pack Leader

Jake started Social Dogs Club with one simple question: Is there a safer, better way for my dog to make real friends?

Back then, his pup Frankie was sweet, social, and full of energy — but dog parks in Victoria felt chaotic and unpredictable. Jake wanted something more intentional for her. So he began organizing small, thoughtful pack adventures with other like-minded dogs.

Fast-forward three (and a bit) years, and Frankie now has more friends than she can count — and so do all the dogs who’ve joined SDC along the way.

Today, Social Dogs Club is built on connection, safety, and fun. We run multiple packs, carefully matched by personality, size, and energy level — because not every dog wants the same kind of party. We’re fully insured through Profur, licensed by the CRD, and first-aid certified across the board.

What started as a love letter to Frankie has grown into a trusted community — one tail wag at a time.

Pack Leader | Lead Trainer

Sabina is a professional dog trainer with hands-on experience training puppy foundations, recall, confidence-building, reactivity and obedience. She prioritizes positive reinforcement - helping dogs learn through clear communication, rewards, and structure to build calm and confident behaviour.

Sabina is new to the island and we’re so glad to have her on our team! A lifelong animal lover, Sabina understands dog behaviour and is adept at managing pack dynamics on the trails. She brings a confident, firm, and loving leadership tone to all her packs.

Sabina is also the main walker for dogs who need a little 1:1 training support before they’re ready to hit the trails with a pack!

Pack Leader

Adam is a beloved SDC Pack Leader. Adam is calm, firm, and always brings the energy. The dogs absolutely love him. Just ask Brexit, who goes out with him almost daily, or Pinot, whose been known to pee on his shoe whenever Adam arrives to pick her up for her adventure.

Outside of SDC, Adam is the most active guy you know. If he’s not out road cycling, then he’s mountain biking. If he’s not mountain biking, then he’s lifting weights at the gym or playing pickleball with friends. If he’s not playing pickleball, odds are he’s probably out for a skateboard with his dog, Miso. You get the gist.

Adam

Pack Leader

Dana is a reliable and patient Pack Leader with over 9 years of hands-on experience working with animals. She has experience in caring for animals of all shapes and sizes, but her love for dogs led her to SDC. Dana is dedicated to monitoring all the dogs in her care to ensure they’re all comfortable, safe, and happy.

She’s the calm in the chaos. Maybe the stems from her time as an animal handler in the TV & Movie industry in Vancouver!

Marketing + Admin

Aubrey was there the day Jake started Social Dogs Club. They had just gotten their puppy, Frankie, a few months earlier and were deep in the puppy stage (think pee pads, chewed up shoes, and more than a few sleepless nights). Since then, she’s been supporting here and there with our branding, admin, and organization.

Now she’s all in — working on some very cool projects! The best part of her day? Getting to look through all the cute post-walk photos in our app.

Outside of SDC, you’ll find her at the beach, practicing (and teaching) yoga, or eating something yummy that Jake made.
